BOTÁNICA PERSONAL
Una reverencia ante la intimidad vegetal
La exposición "Botánica Personal" al igual que gran parte de la obra de Pedro Ruiz, quiere presentar el reino vegetal, no solo como un espectáculo visual, sino como un instrumento introspectivo que cuestiona nuestra identidad social y cultural y muchas de sus complejidades.
Este trabajo transita entre lo personal y lo colectivo, tejiendo un discurso donde el amor, en su significado más noble y elevado se convierte en un acto revolucionario, en un acto de afirmación personal que desafía narrativas externas.
El conjunto de la muestra redefine el acto de contemplación ampliando sus límites hacia formas de interacción visceral con el entorno. El lienzo se amplía así, dejando de ser una simple celebración de una flora rica y diversa. La flor aquí aparece entonces como símbolo de reverencia y transformación.
Otro elemento utilizado en varias de las obras es la "hamaca", un elemento que aparentemente invita al reposo y a la reflexión. Sin embargo, detrás de esta propuesta hay un "elogio a la pereza" al ocio como arma de reconstrucción, que reivindica la quietud y contemplación como forma de apaciguar nuestra obsesión por la velocidad.
Cada obra de Ruiz dialoga con el espectador transportándolo a una dimensión casi etérea, nos invita a detenernos, a observar y más importante, aún a escucharnos.
