The place I have shaped, and that shapes me — a conversation with my surroundings more than forty years long. The forest has lived in me ever since, and ever since, clay has given its forms shape. Drawn by the beauty of the wax palm, Jorge set out on an exploration of form that enriched the conversation within the forest. In this exhibition we open that dialogue of many voices, which happens only in situ.

My craft finds its meaning in what I have cultivated with the leaf of the wax palm: the delight of exploring its intrinsic beauty, the discovery of a form still living. The palm — its leaves falling around the house — began a conversation that Galería BEA now allows us to enter, adding the voice of Carol, amanuensis of the forest, whose inspiring presence I also treasure in situ.

El lugar que he formado y que me forma, una conversación con mi entorno de más de 40 años. El bosque me habita desde entonces, desde entonces la arcilla moldea sus formas. Convocado por la belleza de la palma de cera, Jorge emprende una exploración formal enriqueciendo la conversación en el bosque. En esta muestra compartimos este diálogo de muchas voces, que ocurre in situ.

Mi oficio encuentra sentido en la relación que he cultivado con la hoja de la palma de cera, en el deleite de explorar su belleza intrínseca y sus particulares propiedades de forma viva. La palma, —sus hojas cayendo alrededor de la casa— propició una conversación a la cual la Galería BEA permite acceder, sumando la voz de Carol, amanuense del bosque, cuya presencia inspiradora también atesoro in situ.
