Shifting Boundaries

Journeys of Displacement and Transformation

Beatriz Esguerra Art presents an exhibition centered on the theme of displacement, featuring works by Pedro Ruiz, Juan Carlos Rivero Cintra, and Pablo Arrázola. Displacement, a global phenomenon, is deeply felt in Latin America today. Many from South and Central America journey toward other countries seeking a better future. Cuban-born Rivero Cintra explores the cultural and personal displacement tied to exile, while Pedro Ruiz poetically reflects on environmental and human dislocation. Pablo Arrázola's characters, confined to their paper worlds, tear, fold, and wrinkle their surroundings, mentally escaping to find a freer reality.

This exhibition delves into the personal and collective experience of displacement, urging viewers to consider the challenges and hopes that come with leaving one's home in search of something new. Each artwork invites reflection on the boundaries and possibilities of a world constantly in motion.
